This massive, large, very sturdy Forest Xylophone made out of peeled robinia logs is built for permanent outdoor use. The special suspension and bearing of the notes enables a clean, resonating sound that is fine and powerful. Even if someone walks over the notes, the bars continue to sound. The included mallets are also sturdy and suitable for continuous outdoor use.

The 11-tone Forest Xylophone is pentatonically tuned in itself. The tones are firmly mounted on a solid wooden frame. Robinia, also called acacia, is weatherproof and can be stored for many years outdoors if it is peeled and free of sapwood.

It is possible to build the instrument on a stone frame (ask your landscaper), this raises the playing surface so that even wheelchair users can approach the tones and at the same time it creates a resonance chamber.

The notes can be played in the middle, but also at the edge, at both places they sound powerful.
